Quasi-periodic oscillations in precursor flares via seismic aftershocks from resonant shattering

GRB 211211A was accompanied by a kilonova, implying merger origin for the event. A precursor flare, modulated quasi-periodic oscillations at $\approx 22\, \mbox{Hz}$, also seen 1\, \mbox{s}$ prior to main emission. It is suggested here that resulted from resonant shattering of one star's crust coalescence. Seismic aftershocks and low-frequency torsional modes may emanate rupture site in this case, explaining underlying oscillations. This interpretation directly analogous proposals giant flares soft gamma repeaters, where similar frequencies have been observed, involving starquakes followed crustal vibrations. Torsional mode properties were computed sequences slowly rotating, magnetised neutron stars general relativity. The \mbox{Hz}$ modulations matches nodeless, $\ell =2$ wide variety stellar parameters. Global or discrete Alfv\'en are viable candidates.
